Ode to women everywhere who stand proudly, battle, and strive
For the ones I owe my freedoms to, and the ones who changed the world
To the women who did not live life in a seated position, waiting for their names to be called
For the ones who are brave enough to question, dissent, and announce their existence to a mostly deaf world

To the women whose voices ring out from the ethers and who support our work from beyond
To the spirit women who hold our hands daily and help us maneuver the earth
To the ones who whisper recipes into our ears and therefore feed our souls
To our ancestors from another time who are present to help us evolve

To the women who surround us with the kind of comfort only women can bring
To the elegant and graceful women incredible to behold
To the ones who are hilarious and whose presence makes us laugh
And especially an ode to the loyal women who will always have our back
