We are not just one person, body and flesh and a mind
Becoming so accustomed to being alive we don’t remember that it’s miraculous
With all of the little details like sunlight and water and fresh snow
And the power of the earth on its rotation pulling us and the waves of the oceans
The moon moving across the sky
Everything inside of us pulling too and we wonder why we can’t just do it, why we want to cry

Or what of the elation which comes with being alive
Of hugging and giving and loving
Of the attempt to curate a life just how you want it
And then changing your mind and doing it all again later
Why not?
The wind from the east will blow over onto your face
Its time to pick up the pen and begin filling yourself in
And drawing yourself from scratch once again

And what of pain, the romantic great master
Honor the inner strength you have because of it
I think its here to humble a soul, and make sure it knows
Life is not the easy riddle we thought it was

Here are some lovely ideas like flying butterflies
I take time to capture every day
(And I truly love them all)
That we have a soul team and angels on the other side
Watchful guardians who send us messages
And not only that
We each have a soul contract that we should fulfill with our time here
We are trying to remember who we are and come back to ourselves
So we’re on a mission right now
And I think I remembered, I’m a writer.
